Public consultations on spatial planning. The voice of residents in the debate on the municipality's development.
The Zdrowe Miasto Foundation, in cooperation with the University of Białystok, Faculty of Economics and Finance, carried out an online survey as part of public consultations in the Tykocin municipality. The research was conducted under the Public Consultation Leaders project, and the purpose of the survey was to gather opinions, comments and ideas on bringing order to the area covered by local spatial development plans.
The survey results show that spatial planning is a very important issue for respondents. Residents of the municipality are mainly interested in building or extending technical infrastructure, roads and water and sewage networks. Those taking part in the survey are in favour of converting agricultural land in the municipality. The initiative of holding public consultations and running surveys is very important and is a key point of symbiosis between municipal offices and residents. Let us take part in all surveys in our municipalities, because every voice matters. It is We who change our space.
